Cool, crisp air and falling leaves announce fall has arrived at Falls Park! Park
crews are busy performing lawn renovations, installing annual flower and bulb plantings,
and removing piles upon piles of fallen leaves. Brightly colored pansies, violas,
parsley, and ornamental vegetables have been planted throughout the park to compliment
the fiery leaf displays of fall and to provide bright, vivid color throughout the
cold winter months. The holiday season is just around the corner! Come walk off
that Thanksgiving turkey and dressing along the Swamp Rabbit Trail or enjoy a day
with family and friends in Falls Park.
Jingling bells and holiday floats will be on display as the Poinsettia Christmas
Parade passes by the park along Main St. on December 3. As in years past, Falls
Park will continue its tradition of illuminating the Liberty Bridge in red and green
holiday lighting during the month of December. And remember, there’s no better way
to take a break from downtown holiday shopping than to find a bench or swing in
Falls Park to rest the tired, aching feet of a busy shopper.
