The Falls Park Endowment ensures that Falls Park will remain a
cherished landmark for generations to come.
This endowment fund is used in many ways to make Falls Park a world-class
attraction: for the purchase of major pieces of sculpture; for educational
programs; for park amenities and enhancements not covered by the city’s normal
operating budget. The endowment also will serve as a short term, emergency
source of operating funds when and if the city finds itself unable to maintain
the park to its intended level of quality.
Though the leadership of Endowment co-chairs Anna Kate Hipp and Pedrick Lowery, the Falls Park endowment today exceeds
$2.6 million. The persistence and creativity of these two women drew funding from corporations, businesses, foundations and
the general public. Giving opportunities ranged from a donor "Wall of Honor" to promenade bricks to trees and birdhouses. The
outpouring of public support for the project continues today.
